About

Since I was a small child, I have always had a fascination with gemology and jewellery. I grew up in rural North Norfolk and my route to becoming a jewellery designer was far from straightforward!

I initially studied for degrees in archaeology and maritime archaeology, and it was while studying that I took a part time job in jewellery retail. This led to sales roles at some of the most prestigious jewellery retailers in the world, based at their flag ship stores in Old Bond Street, London. Here I developed a passion for the design of fine jewellery, precious metals, diamonds, as well as precious and semi-precious gemstones. In 2014 I moved back to my home county of Norfolk to start my own jewellery design business and I now find myself in the privileged position of being able to make my own designs for you.

I now create jewellery from gold, sterling silver, precious and semi-precious gemstones. I hand craft all of my jewellery in my workshop on the outskirts of the historic city of Norwich. I take pride in using only the best quality metals and constantly strive to better my work and what I do. I sell my work all over the world and am always more than happy to look at making special commission designs for my clients should they wish. I am also extremely proud to have my hallmark, featuring my makers mark, MJB, registered at Goldsmiths’ Hall Assay Office in London.
